Rob Green (no, not the goalkeeper) is the latest member to join to the Orb team. Rob’s been in the industry over 15 years and brings a wealth of experience to the team.
We got to find out a little more about Rob in a Q&A;
1) What/who inspired you to become a creative?
I wouldn’t say that it was any one-person or piece of work, to be honest. The idea of creating something from scratch then sharing it with the world was appealing, and doing so to help a brand or business be successful is a bonus. That said, I’ve always been a thinker and a scribbler so I guess that’s always stayed a part of me. I just get a lot of enjoyment from the creative process and have fun with it.
2) Who are some of your favourite brands that you’ve been lucky enough to work with?
There have been some good ones, that’s for sure. It’s easy to roll-off the bigger names; B&Q, Avis, Mini and Nike, but I’ve probably had the most enjoyment working with lesser-known brands and businesses where the creative has really had to work hard. Those sorts of challenges always excite me.
3) How long have you been within the industry?
Just over 15 years now, which feels crazy! I’ve enjoyed every step, but I feel like I’ve still only scratched at the surface so far…
4) We’re all big foodies here at Orb, what’s your perfect 3-course meal?
Always a tasty topic of conversation. This can change by the hour but, right now this minute, I’d have to go for some calamari with a garlic and lemon dip. Polish that off, then have a stab at a heavy calzone. Finally, undo a couple of buttons and tackle a slice of lemon meringue pie with a bit of ice cream on the side. Who’s paying?
5) As well as food, sport comes up a lot in the Orb office. What’s your favourite sport and who’s your team?
I’m a big football fan and joining an agency which it turns out is heavily Villa, the answer to this question went down like a lead balloon; Birmingham!
